What is a green and sustainable event?

Did you know?
The events industry is responsible for $115 billion of the United States' GDP and it is expected to rise in popularity in the next couple years. Events also release hundreds of metric tons of CO2 in the air with almost every meeting. We need to change that.

Essentially...
A green and sustainable event is an event or meeting that takes the environment into consideration of every aspect of the event. This means using biodegradable items or hosting at venues who are LEED approved or who follow sustainable practices.
Why should we do them?
With the dramatic rise of climate change and pollution rates, it is more important than ever for us to go green. The events industry already contributes enough to global warming, whether it be from the massive amounts of CO2 exhausted into the air from travel or plastic trinkets that get tossed during events, so it's about time that we change that!
