We will never have control over the weather, but we do have full control over how our events should go. How do we keep an event sustainable after weather takes it's course?

Everything is going perfect...except for one thing. The event is outside and suddenly you see, wait for it, rain clouds. The most perfect event is about to be ruined. But is it?
It is of no surprise that event planners are superheroes with quick minds, who immediately think of how to deal with roadblocks to create the perfect event; but how do you keep this mindset and still be eco-friendly? Well here's what you need to know.
🍃Try to keep the event at a venue where the nearest building is easily accessible
-This will avoid the need for buses or cars and all the guests can walk to the next destination.
-It is always a mega plus if the building is LEED approved or has compact fluorescent lamp (CFL's) light bulbs in the building.
🍃Have solar panels running all day anyways, just in case
-You will never know if you may need them! And if it's starting to rain outside during the wedding, you will definitely need that energy when you move inside.
🍃Hire volunteers to stay on the grounds
-Volunteers are free and can help you move things inside faster when the weather outside gets frightful.
🍃Always be prepared for the unexpected
-Rent tarps or tents to put over tables and receptions to keep everyone safe from the storm if it really isn't too bad.
-You can decorate the event with LED light bulbs and pretty, sustainable fixtures, to keep the tarp from looking drab. You can also string flowers around the posts and the ceilings to make it look like a pretty forest wonderland!
You can not control the weather, therefore, you must always be aware of it and come up with quick, reasonable solutions to make sure that the event goes off without a hitch, while also keeping sustainable practices in mind!
